Dear Members:

              I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas holiday.  It is a true blessing to live in the United States and to be able to celebrate the season.

Now that all the Council meetings are over with I would like to congratulate all of the Council Directors and their host associations for a job well done.  Diane and I enjoyed each of the meetings as they were different, yet the same as we are truly are an NAIW family.  Congratulations to all of the Council award winners and to the newly elected Council Directors Elect.  What an awesome group of members that we have in Region IX. 

             

As the New Year approaches we need to turn our thoughts to Regional Conference.  It is a bit early this year, February 28-March 1, 2008, so make sure you mark your calendars.  A copy of the registration has been mailed to each of you and there is also a copy that is attached to this letter.  The Greater Seattle Insurance Professionals have been hard at work planning a great program for you. 

• On Thursday the Mentors and Protégé class will be held.  Remember this will count toward your CPIW but more importantly this is a great class to help the associations grow.  Friday will be CE and classes on a variety of subjects; I encourage you to take advantage of the free CE. 
• Friday at 12:30 we will have the first business meeting.  There will be voting at this session and we will also be having a panel discussion on NAIW Membership – so please plan on being there.    Friday night will be a fun activity with our Sponsors and of course some music and dancing throw in! 
• Saturday morning will be our key note speaker and our Leadership luncheon.  The lunch should be done by 2:00 pm so feel free to stay and shop or travel home. 

              I still have a few spots on some of the committees, if you would like to help please let me know.  If you would like to run for a Regional Office remember the deadline for your application is January 15, 2008.  The offices are the RVP Elect, Delegate and Alt. to the National Nominating Committee.  If you have any questions on the offices please give me a call or you can contact Cathy Lamothe, Nominating Committee Chair.

              Diane and I look forward to seeing each of you at Regional, and we both wish each of you a Very Happy New Year.
