RVP August Message

A month and a half into this 2010-2011 year and already so much has happened in the NAIW world.

This may be a stressful time for many of you as you are planning and
preparing for your upcoming Council meetings. Others have enjoyed taking
a few months off from meeting or have just finished their planning session

laying out programs, speakers and community events for the year ahead.

Whatever position you may be in, I wanted to take a moment to thank you
for belonging to this association. Thank you for your renewed membership
and thank you for all you contribute to the association. You may think that you don't contribute much, but I want you to know that your continued membership is huge!

The executive committee is currently working on a summary of the board
meeting that we just completed and when you receive that, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding any of the information.

"Knowledge Based Decisions"

When making decisions for your local association or for your council,
please consider the following:
1) Does this follow our mission statement and purpose?
2) How does this affect our members?
3) How does this affect our future?
4) Does this cause a member to continue their membership?
5) Will this cause someone to join?

NAIW Mission Statemen
t
NAIW (International) serves its members by providing professional
education, an environment in which to build business alliances and the
opportunity to make connections with people of differing career paths
and levels of experience within the insurance industry.

Reflection Time
Can you replace your association name in the spot of NAIW
(International) in the mission statement and the statement stay true?
